From the President April, 2024
Hello Graduates,
Spring has sprung! Mark your calendars for the following Graduate Newcomer events!
Eighteen members attended last week's International Dinner—Ireland/England. The food was basically Irish but we had a bit of English trivia. Ruth Payne did a great job organizing this potluck dinner. Check out the pictures on our website.

I'm happy to report that our membership form is just a click away. When each new individual member fills out the form online, it will automatically populate the membership list with all the information. Additionally the membership list is now available for members to view and is password protected. Email me at for the user ID and password.
Thanks to Lena Fox for bringing us into the digital age! Her efforts along with technical support from Mark Torres will reduce the secretary's workload and allow the President, Pam; Vice President, Lena; Secretary, Mark; and Treasurer, Carole to easily have access to the most current list.
As if Mark Torres does not have enough to do supporting our technical needs, he has also volunteered to be our Secretary! Thank you Mark for filling this vital role.
I plan to attend the May Newcomers meeting and invite the graduating newcomers to attend our June picnic and join the Graduate Newcomer Club.
Lynn Pode will coordinate our Annual Picnic scheduled for June 11, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Chau Ram County Park, 1220 Chau Ram Park Road, Westminster. Note this is a luncheon due to availability at the county parks. Lynn has done a fabulous job in the past and we appreciate her doing it again. Please plan to attend and greet the new members. RSVP by June 3:
Dinner Out will now be coordinated by Roberta McCaw. If you would like to suggest a restaurant we might enjoy, please contact Roberta at
Thanks to all our coordinators for their efforts. And thanks to all our members for your support.
Spring forward and have fun!
Sincerely,
Pam Coldren, President
